7x7 cube patterns

Figures you make from a solved cube with a few moves. Press one to watch how it's done on the 3D cube, or open it to see the steps.

The 7x7 has a fixed center and seven layers, so the Checkerboard comes from half turns of layers 1, 3, 5 and 7 on each axis (R2 3R2 3L2 L2...): twelve moves for a board of single squares.

The other 3x3 patterns are done with three-layer turns (3Rw), so each part of the picture is a block of many stickers: the patterns look huge.

Big cube notation: Rw turns the two right layers together and 3Rw the three; r turns only the second layer and 3R only the third.
