About this pattern

A 2x2x2 cube with its usual colors appears in one corner, surrounded by a frame of other colors: it looks like a small cube tucked inside the big one. A 15-move algorithm does it.

It's one of the most eye-catching patterns in a photo. Look at the front-top-right corner when you finish: that's where the small cube is.

How to do it

  1. Start with a solved cube, with yellow on top and blue in front.
  2. Do these 15 moves (press the button to watch them on the cube).
  3. To undo it, do the algorithm backwards: U' L2 B D B' L U L2 F2 U' R' U F' L' F'.

With the Kubixel cube you can do it step by step, share it or save it. Open it in Kubixel →
