Wire pattern

A colored wire running around the sides of the cube.

About this pattern

A "wire" of color runs around the sides of the cube. It starts like the Zigzag (R L F B, three times) and ends with six half turns that undo part of the zigzag and leave only the wire.

Compare it with the Zigzag and you'll see they share the first 12 moves: a good example of how one pattern is built from another.

How to do it

  1. Start with a solved cube, with yellow on top and blue in front.
  2. Do these 18 moves (press the button to watch them on the cube).
  3. To undo it, do the algorithm backwards: L2 B2 R2 L2 B2 R2 B' F' L' R' B' F' L' R' B' F' L' R'.

With the Kubixel cube you can do it step by step, share it or save it. Open it in Kubixel →
