Tetris pattern
Interlocking blocks like Tetris pieces.
About this pattern
The faces end up with interlocking two-color blocks, like Tetris pieces. It's done by turning pairs of opposite faces together (L R, F B, U' D') and undoing the first pair at the end, so it's short: 8 moves.
It's a nice example of how two opposite faces can be turned in any order: L R is the same as R L, which is why you can learn it as four two-face "hits".
How to do it
- Start with a solved cube, with yellow on top and blue in front.
- Do these 8 moves (press the button to watch them on the cube).
- To undo it, do the algorithm backwards:
R L D U B' F' R' L'.
With the Kubixel cube you can do it step by step, share it or save it. Open it in Kubixel →
